This is the study environment of MoniNet for you to study Finnish language. The chapters tell about the life of an immigrant in Lapland.

The study environment is in Finnish and it contains the vocabularies in English, Russian, Burmese and Arabic.

The lessons include

  • the text
  • vocabulary
  • information about the language
  • exercises

When you study, please pay attention to the following:

  • Use a dictionary when you study Finnish language
  • The words and phrases are translated based on the text. In another context, they can mean another thing, for example: mies= husband (in the vocabulary), in another context it can be as mies = man.
  • Colloquialisms (=puhekielen ilmaukset) are written in italics. In the vocabulary you also have the general word or term.
